Position Summary:

The Agency Personal Lines Sales Specialist position is responsible for driving incremental top line growth by selling personal lines products via the phone to existing JMIS customers and Jeweler Mutual Personal Lines customer’s base.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, internet leads and outbound calls and emails.
  • Persuasive negotiations skills and highly effective listening and communication skills
  • Prepare personalized personal lines insurance quotes to prospects
  • Facilitate a sales culture to maximize retention, customer satisfaction, and up-sell and cross sell opportunities with each customer interaction
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas.
  • Works with Management on the creation of marketing plans/promotions.
  • Maintains accurate client data in agency management system.
  • Will maintain strong relationship with carrier partners
  • Maintain product knowledge for P&C lines of business written through agent distribution channel

PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: JMIS agency staff, JM PL Staff members and management

External: Existing JMIC and JMIS customers, External Carrier Partners

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

H.S Diploma (Advanced Degree preferred). Five plus years related experience selling personal lines products to in a multiline insurance agency environment

COMPUTER SKILLS

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook

Experience with Agency Management Systems

Experience working with Comparative Rater software


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Property/Casualty Insurance Agent License, CISR designation preferred.
